Training for decisions that carry consequences.

Scenario simulations, assessments built to psychometric standards, and governance for AI agents. Built for financial services, healthcare, and other regulated workforces.

The work

Each project is labeled by where it came from: client work, production work, or a build I started on my own. Client names stay out where an NDA applies.

Where an AI agent stops

Production method, working sample on this page
The decision
How much authority an agent holds before a human takes over, when a wrong payment or a wrong denial has a cost.
What I built
Decision boundaries, escalation rules, supervisor training on exception handling, pre-deployment validation, and audit evidence for agents working insurance and payment workflows. The sample below runs the rules live.

Financial needs discovery simulator

Self-initiated build
The decision
How a financial representative runs a needs-discovery conversation.
What I built
A scenario simulation on devlin.ai where the representative practices the conversation, also packaged in Articulate Storyline. I taught the build in a live session attended by 33 instructional designers across two countries (June 2026).

Clinical decision scenarios

Client work under NDA, client unnamed
The decision
A clinician's next step at each point where the wrong choice changes the outcome.
What I built
Five branching clinical scenarios with seven decision points, designed with the 4C Health Strategy methodology. A pediatric triage micro-scenario built in Articulate Storyline is available as a public sample.

Assessment items and standards

Contract work, Ascend Learning
The decision
Whether an item measures the skill it claims to measure, and whether its wrong answers do their job.
What I built
More than 125 TEAS items authored to psychometric standards, with p-value and distractor analysis. I constructed and revised the TEAS assessment standards. Most of my recommendations were accepted, and the revised standards are in effect in 2026.
Review panels
Appointed to Texas Education Agency standards and item review committees and to the TEA and Pearson educator certification examination committee for Mathematics. Texas Mathematics Advisory Board Member for Glencoe Mathematics (McGraw-Hill/Glencoe), Grades 6 through Algebra 2: reviewed content prototypes and chapters for the Texas statewide adoption. My likeness appears in the published Texas textbooks.

Also built

AI-assisted course production

Open edX program with 7 modules and 50+ knowledge checks. The AI-assisted workflow cut course production time by 25% and finished the project a week ahead of schedule.

R³ Signal System

A LinkedIn visibility cohort for job seekers. Cohort 1 participants reached a 45% hiring rate. R³ participants across two cohorts averaged a 300%+ increase in profile discovery.

DIME strategy app

A client-facing financial planning app built on the DIME method.

Open the app

Future Self Finance chat

An AI financial advisor that speaks as the user's future self. It walks users through the DIME strategy, recommends banks based on their goals, and points to local job resources.

Open the chat

ERG Virtual Facilitation Skills

An Articulate Rise course I built as an interview exercise and posted afterward.

Open the course

LinkedIn 360 Brew post evaluator

A devlin.ai simulator that scores LinkedIn posts against the 2026 LinkedIn 360 Brew rules.

Where the agent stops

A claims payment agent has its limits written into its rules. Change the case and watch the authority move. Every decision writes an audit entry a supervisor can defend.

Working sample. The carrier is fictional and the limits are illustrative. The method matches the governance work I'm building for insurance and payment systems, and client details stay withheld.

The rules, in the order the agent checks them

The first rule that applies decides the outcome. Order matters: a fraud flag outranks the amount.

    Pre-deployment checks

Boundary cases run against the rules above, with the expected outcome written before the run.

    Programs run at scale

Operating responsibility behind the design work: staffing, compliance, training delivery, and results.

    FOCUS community program

Co-founded a grant-funded program. Created the curriculum, managed operations, and trained Dow Chemical engineers and plant workers to deliver it across a multilingual, distributed workforce.

    93% completion rate

    Postsecondary bridge program

Led a bridge program to a 78% first-year completion rate. Trained instructors at other sites to run it and administered its learning management system. Invited to present the process at the state summit's inaugural conference in summer 2023.

    78% first-year completion

    Citywide summer program, Milwaukee

Delivered pre-deployment training to 300+ program personnel assigned across 19 sites. Served as site administrator for one location and led 8 to 11 staff through daily team meetings, coaching, observation, and performance evaluation.

Site learners gained 11% in math and 13% in reading

    Kumon franchise center

Co-owned a Kumon Math and Reading Center franchise. Handled franchise compliance and daily operations.

    How I work

I don't stop at reporting that something failed. I identify the mechanism, isolate the root cause, describe the conditions under which it will recur, and attach a plan to fix it.
